This quality t shirt features an art print of a realistic kākāpō among forest foliage. This painting was based on the stunning photo by Lydia Uddstrom, who kindly gave permission for the use of her photo as a reference. This artwork was created using Derwent Inktense (a water-soluble ink) and watercolour, and the artist has digitally signed the artwork.
"There are only 247 kākāpō alive today. Sadly, many people do not recognise this incredibly unique parrot, found only in New Zealand. There are only two species of nocturnal parrots in the world: the kākāpō and the Australian night parrot. Both are critically endangered. For this reason, 50% of the Betty's artist proceeds from the sale of every ‘Kākāpō Calling’ t-shirt will be donated to Kākāpō Recovery."
