"In the middle of winter, on a snowy peak, while travelling through to Milford Sound, we made a stop to stretch our legs. There, it was soon apparent that we were in somebody else’s domain… This was Kea country! Amongst those mischievous keas, this guy was sitting on top of a parked maintenance truck, ruling his kingdom. Such a worthy ruler deserved to have his royal portrait made… so I did."
