The second band from the top displays pirita vine (shoots), kawakawa (leaves, medicinal), and karamu (berries). The third band exhibits kotukutuku (fruit), while the fourth band highlights kokihi New Zealand spinach (leaves) and tataromoa (leaves, medicinal). At the bottom are hakeke woodear mushrooms. This artwork was originally painted in watercolour and is digitally signed by the artist.
"I was inspired to create this edible plants tea towel artwork as I am intrigued by how people can survive by foraging. Therefore, I have become very interested in native plants that are safe to eat and nutritious. My grateful thanks to Ang Wickham and Bart Acres for allowing me to paint from their lovely photos."
