"In continuation of my "Be Kind" Series, I began to draw inspiration from past iconic paintings and modernise them for 2021. As a result, this piece is a modernised version of Tretchikoff's Chinese Girl, also known as "The Green Lady." I changed her traditional Chinese clothing into a denim jacket with gold embroidery and, of course, a mask because it's 2021! The red background signifies the red lipstick she wears in the original painting. The phrase "Be Kind" appears on the pin she wears on her jacket."
