"This artwork was one of the pieces I painted when the wrath of Cyclone Gabrielle pelted against the windows of my painting studio in Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand, and my heart felt heavy. It was inspired by moments of post-cyclone community kindness, storm clouds, murky waterways, and everything having a slightly 'extra drippy' quality."
