Anna Mollekin's love of New Zealand inspired this artwork. "I wanted to celebrate our country and its beautiful flora and fauna. New Zealand is the fabric of my being. The lace also reflects the delicate and intertwined connection between the native New Zealand birds and its habitat."
'Kiwi's Lace' is a dark blue, digitally drawn New Zealand contemporary artwork depicting a stylised Kiwi bird amongst beautiful flora.
Art for a cause: $5 from every Kiwi's Lace tea towel sold will go to the Moehau Environment Group.
Moehau Environment Group is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the protection and enhancement of the natural environment of the Northern Coromandel Peninsula. The Moehau Environment Group has a Kiwi Sanctuary to help save Coromandel Brown kiwi.
Anna is passionate about giving back to this area that is so near and dear to her heart and inspires her artwork. "I want to go to Port Charles and hear the Kiwi's call at night. I want this beautiful region preserved and rejuvenated for NZ flora and fauna to thrive and for future generations to enjoy too."
