doodlewear 'Kiwi's Lace' (April 2020 - original pen drawing August 2018) art print kiwi tshirt by Contemporary New Zealand Artist and doodlewear owner Anna Mollekin. This quality t shirt features an art print depicting stylised Kiwi with lace-inspired patterns amongst NZ fronds, ferns, pohutukawa and kowhai. This artwork was initially drawn in pen and then redrawn digitally. The artist digitally initialled it.
"My love of New Zealand inspired this artwork. I wanted to celebrate our country and its beautiful flora and fauna. New Zealand is the fabric of my being. The lace also reflects the delicate and intertwined connection between the native New Zealand birds and its habitat."
Art for a cause: Anna will generously donate $5 from every Kiwi's Lace t-shirt sold to the Moehau Environment Group.
Moehau Environment Group is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the protection and enhancement of the natural environment of the Northern Coromandel Peninsula. The Moehau Environment Group has a Kiwi Sanctuary to help save Coromandel Brown kiwi.
Anna is passionate about giving back to this area near and dear to her heart and inspires her artwork. "I want to go to Port Charles and hear the Kiwi's call at night. I want this beautiful region preserved and rejuvenated for NZ flora and fauna to thrive and for future generations to enjoy too."
