doodlewear 'Lifeline' art print t shirt by Auckland based NZ Contemporary Artist Sven Clarkson.
Artist Sven Clarkson has created this tee to raise funds for Lifeline and bring forward more positive conversations regarding mental health awareness in New Zealand. With the ambition to try and remove the stigmas associated with mental illnesses and encourage those who are suffering to reach out.
If you look closely at the art, you’ll see it spells out ‘MHA’ – which stands for Mental Health Awareness. The imagery is a loose motif inspired by a quote that has resonated with Sven as a kid: “Everything isn't always sunshine and rainbows” – which draws comparison to enduring the storm that can be mental health.
$15 from every tee sold will go to Lifeline
Lifeline does not receive any government funding, making it hard for them to provide support to all who reach out. Currently, 1 in 4 calls per day are being missed due to financial constraints.
Sven and a team of rad humans wore these tees while they walk 200km over 4 days in November 2018, to raise money for Lifeline and help promote positive change around mental health. The team pushed their physical limits in some of New Zealand’s most stunning scenery.
