"In the middle of winter, on a snowy peak, while travelling through to Milford Sound, we made a stop to stretch our legs. There, it was soon apparent that we were in somebody elseβs domainβ¦ This was Kea country! Amongst those mischievous keas, this guy was sitting on top of a parked maintenance truck, ruling his kingdom. Such a worthy ruler deserved to have his royal portrait madeβ¦ so I did."
