These terms and conditions ('Terms') govern your use of doodlewear's online store. By placing an order through doodlewear's online store, you express your understanding and agreement that you are bound by these Terms, in addition to the Site Terms. If you are unwilling to be bound by these Terms and the www.doodlewear.co.nz Site Terms, you may not use doodlewear's online store.


Measuring using our Size & Style guide

All of the descriptions and measurements are given for each product (width and length). It is up to the customer to check that the size and style chosen are correct.

We want you to find the ideal fit. When choosing your doodlewear clothing size, please make no assumptions or guesses. To achieve a great fit, always take the time to measure and follow our easy clothing size guide's width and length measurements for each style before purchase. As you will know, different styles and brands have different size charts, so it's essential to double-check them whenever you shop online. This ensures that you get the perfect fit, making your shopping experience enjoyable and hassle-free.

In our 'Size & Style Guide' you can explore the variety of AS Colour garments doodlewear offers, helping you confidently choose the one that suits you best. By reading about the styles and viewing photo examples of how they look on, you can easily select the ideal style that complements your preferences, ensuring a perfect and satisfying choice.

Join the movement, shop responsibly and consciously. Change starts with you, so please double-check your order very carefully. Measure and review each different style's size chart, and read descriptions thoroughly before bringing this product into existence in the world. We print everything to order with love, especially for you, right here in New Zealand.

Availability & out of stock - delayed delivery

All items on doodlewear's online store are subject to availability. We will inform you via email or text if the goods you have ordered are not available.


Intellectual property rights

All art on doodlewear belongs to the artist. To make this space for creativity available, it is essential all doodlewear users respect the intellectual property rights of others, including copyright and trademarks of all the works you see or buy on doodlewear. All art and imagery on this site cannot be replicated, edited or used elsewhere without permission from both doodlewear and the artist.


Pricing & payments 

All product prices on doodlewear's online store are given in New Zealand Dollars ($NZD) and are shown inclusive of Goods and Services Tax (GST), however, are exclusive of delivery costs. The price you pay is fixed at the time of ordering.

Order cancellation

You may not cancel an order once it has been submitted. Please choose your sizes carefully. We do not accept returns due to a change in customer preference, as stated on our refund & returns policy page. It is the customers responsibility to ensure the product delivery address is correct. doodlewear takes no responsibility for any product a customer does not receive because of errors in the delivery address given to us.

Accepted payment types

All prices are displayed in New Zealand Dollars ($NZD). For comparison value of other currencies, use the Google Currency Converter as a guide.

Cart payments can be made using these methods:
  • Bank Deposit/Direct Credit: Select the payment method "Bank Deposit" at checkout and then follow prompts. Payment is due before the order will be processed. If no payment is received within five business days the order will be cancelled. 
  • Stripe:  Visa, Mastercard and American Express via Shopify Payments (powered by Stripe). Stripe accepts all major debit and credit cards from customers in every country. A quick and convenient way to pay.
  • PayPal: PayPal allows you to pay using either PayPal funds, or credit card. Select the payment method "Paypal" at checkout and then follow prompts.
  • doodlewear online gift voucher: you can redeem the value of an online doodlewear gift voucher by entering its unique code at checkout while making a purchase in the doodlewear store. Learn more HERE.

    We do not record your credit card details and both Shopify Payments and PayPal are a trusted and secure gateway payment. All credit card and debit card holders are subject to validation and authorisation by us and our bank to maintain security and prevent fraud.


    Billing terms 

    We must receive payment of the whole of the price for the goods that you order before your order can be accepted. Once payment has been received by us we will confirm that your order has been accepted by sending an email to you at the email address you provide in your order form. Items will then be print-to-order and dispatched once payment has been received.


    Shipping

    New Zealand Shipping 

    CourierPost tracked courier delivery (weekdays only). Please provide a physical street address – we’re not able to deliver to a P.O. Box. You may be required to sign for your order on delivery, too, so make sure it's an address you will be at during working hours.

    New Zealand orders take approximately 7* working days plus Courier delivery time. On dispatch, you will be notified via email with a tracking number.

    Standard: Expect to receive your package 1-3* working days from dispatch.* For Rural Delivery, please allow 2-3 working days.*

    * Major towns and cities. These delivery targets are a guide only and we do not guarantee your item will reach its destination within the delivery target. Delivery to rural or remote areas may take longer. Once your order is shipped, it is out of our hands.

    Sorry, no, in order to keep our prices down and pass those savings on to you, we are an online store only.

    Tracking your items upon despatch

    On the very rare occasion should you not receive your package within the courier shipping timeframes we have specified, please track your parcel for an update so if there is an issue it can be resolved immediately. 

    Timeframes for making a claim with NZ Post Courier (date from receiving your email tracking from doodlewear)

    • Damaged delivery: Damage to a delivered item or missing contents - 10 days.
    • New Zealand wide non-delivery: 21 days
    • International non-delivery: 30 days

    TAXES & DUTIES

    All international deliveries are handled by NZ Post. Any duties and taxes incurred on international deliveries are your responsibility.

    Please be aware that doodlewear does not have any control over duties, customs and taxes applied by the country your order is being shipped to. Please contact your local customs office to find out more information if you are unsure of the charges.


    doodlewear care information

    When properly cared for, our goods have an excellent wash and UV durability.

    How to care for your art prints and products:

    • Please wash before wearing or using.*
    • Gentle cold wash on all products.
    • Wash products inside out.
    • Do not tumble dry.
    • Do not iron print.
    • Dry in shade.
    • Do not bleach or soak/wash in Napisan or similar products.
    • We also don't recommend using Earthwise or Ecostore detergent as they can cause print fading and we want your gear to look sharp for as long as possible.
    *Any slight shading or marks will wash out in the first wash.

      Our exchange, refund & returns policy

      We print your items with love individually on order. By measuring yourself and following our easy clothing size charts, you will get the perfect fit. As you will know, different brands have different size charts, so it's essential to double-check them whenever you shop online.

      Change of mind returns/exchange policy

      Even though you have read our product descriptions, and measured before purchasing using our size and style guide (as you confirmed/agreed at checkout), it may not be the right fit for your body shape in rare circumstances. 

      We want you to be happy with your doodlewear so if you change your mind about the size or style strictly within 48 hours of delivery of your order from the courier, no trouble, we can get you sorted. Unlike a lot of other print-on-demand stores, we offer you 48 hours from courier delivery to you, to see that it fits. Even though we have a sustainability approach by purchasing product stock on demand, getting your items printed one at a time specifically for you, and paying our artists, we want you to be happy.

      We can provide you with one of the following options:

      1. Exchange - size exchange to the item's value at the time of purchase, exclusive of any shipping costs.

      2. Store credit - if there is no item in stock as an exchange replacement available, we can give you store credit to the item's value at the time of purchase, exclusive of any shipping costs.

      3. Refund - if there is no item in stock as an exchange replacement available, we can refund the value of the item at the time of purchase, exclusive of any shipping costs. 

      Please be aware that the "Change of mind returns/exchange policy" excludes:

      • sale products
      • artwork choice
      • product colour choice
      • items that have already been exchanged
      • production time and courier delivery timeframes. Our turnaround time is specified on our website, We cannot take responsibility for delays in courier delivery, as this is out of our hands. Please order well before you need your items

          As we print to order especially for customers, these cannot be returned or exchanged, so please select your artwork products carefully and double check your order is correct before you check out. Please refer to our 'Size Style Guide' before ordering, and don't hesitate to email us info@doodlewear.co.nz for assistance in selecting your style.

           

          We'll send you information so you can plan your return for exchange.

          • On receipt, all returned items will be examined.
          • To be eligible for store credit, exchange or refund, items must be returned in their original condition (new, unused, unworn, unaltered, unwashed). All product tags must be still attached to the item.
          • Return shipping fees to doodlewear are the responsibility of the customer. Customers are also liable for the cost of returning the new exchanged item from doodlewear.

          How to exchange, get a store credit or refund for a 'change of mind' item

          For all exchanges, store credit and refund requests, contact us at info@doodlewear.co.nz within 48 hours of receiving your order from the courier, providing us with your order number and brief reason. Include your order number and a brief reason for the request. We'll guide you through the exchange process and provide the return address. After reviewing the exchange process email, please confirm strictly within 24 hours if you'd like to proceed.
          • All items need to be returned* strictly within 7 days from the date of your parcel delivery, including the receipt or proof of purchase. 
          • Once the item has been received it will undergo a quality review. 
          • Once cleared, we will exchange the item if a replacement is in stock and available. If we do not have a replacement available, we will offer you either a doodlewear credit or a refund to the value of the item at the time of purchase and any shipping costs incurred. We will contact you to confirm this.
          • We will send you an invoice for our standard shipping cost for your new item to be sent to you. Upon receiving the payment we will process your exchange order.
          • A refund may be denied on rare occasions. If there are signs that the item has been worn or damaged or outside of the returns time frame, we reserve the right to refuse the exchange/return and the return shipping costs will be at the expense of the customer.

          Return and refund policy on online gift vouchers

          doodlewear online gift vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash in part or full, so please choose carefully when purchasing a voucher.

          Refund policy of faulty items

          We stand by the products we make, and we believe in quality. If our products have failed you in any way, please contact us and we will endeavour to help you. No returns are accepted after 14 days of receipt of purchase. 

          Refund returns of faulty/damaged or have a faulty print items will only be accepted if the goods were faulty when delivered to you; doodlewear takes special care to check your purchase thoroughly for any faults before delivering them to you.

          • All items returned as faulty will be inspected on receipt and any items deemed subject to general wear and tear will be not accepted as faulty.
          • To be eligible for a return or exchange, items must be returned in their original condition (new, unused, unworn, unaltered, unwashed). All product tags must be still attached to the item.

          How to return/exchange faulty items

          For all return/exchange requests of faulty items, contact us at info@doodlewear.co.nz within 14 days of receipt of purchase (meaning: within 14 days from when the customer has received the order from the courier), providing us with your order number and a brief reason for return/exchange and a photo that clearly shows the fault or damage. We will provide you with an address to send the parcel back to. We will provide you with an address to send the parcel back to.

          • All items need to be returned within 7 days from the date of your parcel delivery, including the receipt or proof of purchase.
          • Once the item has been received it will undergo a quality review. 
          • Once cleared, we will replace a faulty item if a replacement is in stock and available. If we do not have a replacement available, we will offer you either a doodlewear credit or a refund to the value of the item at the time of purchase and any shipping costs incurred. We will contact you to confirm this.
          • Should you not want a replacement, you may request a full refund to the value of the item at the time of purchase and any shipping costs incurred.
          • If there are signs that the item has been worn or damaged, we reserve the right to refuse the return and the return shipping costs will be at the expense of the customer.

          Late or missing refunds from doodlewear

          If you haven't received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next, contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted. If you've done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at info@doodlewear.co.nz with the subject 'REFUND MISSING'.

          * Shipping products back to doodlewear

          If you are shipping an item back to us, make sure the parcel is secure (we suggest a tracked, insured shipping or posting method, as well as lots of tape) as you are solely responsible for it until it reaches us safely. doodlewear does not accept responsibility for packages we do not ship ourselves.

          Accuracy of content

          We take every care to ensure that the description and specification of our products are correct at the time of publication.

          Print reproduction

          • Colour, size and placement of artwork on product - while the colour reproduction of the products is a close representation, we cannot accept any responsibility for any variation in colour caused by the browser software or computer system used by you. There will be colour variation between your RGB display and the CMYK product print. Colours on screen are made up from light, so neon and very bright colours in particular will not look like this when printed. Colours will typically look more muted on products. Due to the production process, colours, position, size and scale are indicative only - artwork on individual product prints may have slight size differences.
          • Bright art print on white products vs coloured product – they print differently. It’s because on the white products there is no underbase of white ink, so the ink can “sink” in to the fibres more so it will look more muted. The colours will always look brighter on a coloured products because of the underbase. We don’t print a white under print on white products as it washes out very quickly and leads to the whole print failing.
          • Large areas of white on darker coloured products. Large areas of printed white on darker-coloured items may have a slight tint of the product's colour to it, which is indicative of the printing method.
          • Will a DTG art print last longer on a white or coloured tshirt? There are so many variables involved that it’s hard to give a definitive answer. It depends on the design, the thickness of the tee, how it has been washed and dried, etc. However, we would expect the white tees to fade more quickly than on a coloured garment due to the amount of ink applied. But in saying that, we also have white tees that have outlasted coloured ones.

Prices on site are current at the time of display and subject to variation without notice. We will do our best to display accurate descriptions and pricing but are unable to warrant that the product descriptions or other content of the website are accurate, complete, reliable, current or error-free. We shall not be liable to any person for any loss or damage that may arise from the use of any of the information contained in any of the details on this website.

          doodlewear's online store collects customer information so that we can process your orders as efficiently as possible. all your information is kept secure and we will not disclose or share this information to other parties under any circumstances.

          We do not record credit card details; payments are processed by Shopify Payments which uses the latest SSL technology to keep your information safe, one of the worlds most secure payment methods.
