Red pandas are endangered due to massive deforestation. They live in forests and feed on bamboo, flower blossoms, and fruit. They are not closely related to the giant panda, which is a species of bear.
Someone needs to speak for the many thousands of animal species worldwide that are endangered and at risk of becoming extinct. Red pandas are so cute that most people are drawn to them. There is a lot more exposure for cute or magnificent endangered species, but what about those less 'appealing' species?"
